How La Habra Gables was built
La Habra Gables was laid out in August 1978 on the eastern side of the city and the building was quick after it. The county carries a construction year for all 107 homes here and every one reads 1979.
The thirteen interior streets carry English names and nothing else: Brownstone, Gable, Hampton, Kensington, Oxford, Stansbury, Wrightwood, Cambridge, Knottington, Longridge, Marble and Stonehedge. It was a fashion of the decade on this side of town. Sunny Hills, on the same side of the city, had been laid out four years earlier on ten lanes named for English counties and county towns.
