How Sunny Hills was built
Sunny Hills was laid out in December 1974 on the east side of town and the 173 townhomes followed quickly. The county carries a construction year for all of them: 169 were finished in the 1970s and the last four in the early 1980s.
The ten interior lanes are English without exception. Berkshire, Cheltenham, Cheshire, Devonshire, Dorchester, Hampshire, Hartford, Norwich and Yorkshire, with Village Drive running through the middle of them, and five of the nine are English counties. La Habra Gables, on the same side of the city, repeated the idea four years later with Cambridge, Kensington and Oxford.
