Overview
About Mira Vista
Mira Vista covers 6.5 acres on West Lambert Road. The city's association register records 140 units and its address layer carries 171 addresses inside the boundary, 142 typed Condominium or Townhome and 29 typed Building. The city splits the zoning evenly, 3.2 acres of Multi-Unit Dwelling against 3.2 acres of Limited Multi-Unit Dwelling, and files the whole community across two parcels.
No public street runs inside the boundary, so the drives within it are private and every address is written to West Lambert Road. Vin Scully Centennial Park is 0.12 miles out with three pickleball courts and two dog parks, Loma Verde Park 0.15 miles and Corona Park 0.17 miles. The community feeds Las Lomas Elementary, Imperial Middle and La Habra High.

How Mira Vista was built
Mira Vista translates roughly as look at the view, and the view is the wall of hills that closes off the north side of the valley. The gap in those hills is what the Portola expedition came through on 30 July 1769 and what gave the town its name, la habra, the pass. The valley behind it was granted to Mariano Reyes Roldan in 1839 as a 6,698 acre rancho.
The 140 units here went up in February 1981 on West Lambert Road, part of the same short run of years that put Creekside Village, Parkside, Hidden Lakes, Lakeview and La Habra Plaza on the same road as the last orchard blocks in central La Habra were sold off.

When was Mira Vista recorded?
Tract 11031 was recorded on 26 February 1981 at county map book 485, pages 34 and 35. C.E.L.S. Corporation engineered it and Tallas D. Margrave Jr. signed the survey under license LS 3785.
Why does the address count exceed the unit count?
The city types 142 addresses inside the boundary as Condominium or Townhome and another 29 as Building. The register counts homes in the association; the address layer counts everything the city has given an address, which includes structures that are not separate homes.
