How Country Terrace was built
Country Terrace went up in 1983 on the last of the farm ground, 70 townhomes across 3.6 acres beside Vista Del Valle, a road name that translates as view of the valley. The valley in question is the one Mariano Reyes Roldan was granted in 1839 as Rancho Canada de La Habra, 6,698 acres that Abel Stearns bought in the 1860s.
The three street names inside are all built on the same word: South Country Way, West Country Terrace and West Country View. The open ground closest to them is Vista Del Valle Park on South Idaho Street, 26.68 acres kept as natural park with a gazebo, picnic benches and Japanese cherry plantings, the largest single piece of park land the city holds.

FAQs
Common questions about Country Terrace
How big is Country Terrace?
Country Terrace covers 3.6 acres. The City of La Habra's association register records 70 units and its address layer carries 36 addresses inside the boundary.
Why does the register say 70 units and the address layer 36?
The two layers count different things. The register counts homes in the association. The address layer counts street addresses, and attached homes sharing one entrance are filed under a single address, so a townhome community reads lower on the address count than on the unit count.
When was Country Terrace recorded?
Tract 11346 was recorded on 22 March 1983 and filed at county map book 508, pages 27 to 29. Madole and Associates engineered it and J. M. Madole signed the survey under license RCE 14814.
