How California Summit was built
The name says California and the street signs say England and Ireland. Somerset, Sherwood, Sunbury, Charlemont, Seton and Chancey, alongside Cameo, Brookstone, Deerborn, Laurelwood and Calypso, eleven streets on 22.3 acres holding 196 homes. It is a common trick of the period, a Spanish city with a pocket of British place names dropped into it, and it usually means one builder took one phase and named it to a theme of its own.
California Summit was built between 1990 and 1998, three to five bedroom homes of 1,276 to 2,326 square feet, sitting near Canyon Vista Elementary and Soka University.
