            History

            How Marbella was built

Marbella was built in 1986, the first year houses went up in Rancho Santa Margarita at all, and it holds 105 townhomes on 17.1 acres. It sits on the north shore of Lago Santa Margarita, the 31 million gallon lake at the center of the city.

The name is a resort town on the Costa del Sol, but the streets went a different way: Calle Maria, Calle Katrina, Calle Melinda, Calle Christina and Calle Francesca are all women's names. Five streets and five names, with no place, plant or bird among them.
