Overview
About Tapestry
Tapestry covers 18.4 acres and the city's address record carries 114 addresses inside the boundary against 113 units on the association register, every one typed Multiple Family Home. Nine public streets run inside across 0.84 miles of centerline and all nine names are flowers: Iris, Petunia, Primrose and Poplar as streets, with Daffodil, Dahlia, Marigold, Sunflower and Wisteria running across them.
Two of the city's own overlay plans govern the ground, 17.9 acres under the Lambert Idaho Specific Plan and half an acre under the Voit Specific Plan, which makes Tapestry the only community in this guide answering to two specific plans at once. Vin Scully Centennial Park is 0.02 miles from the boundary, the Guadalupe Park Extension 0.09 miles and Guadalupe Park itself 0.28 miles. The community feeds Las Positas Elementary, Imperial Middle and La Habra High.

How Tapestry was built
Tapestry is one of the newer communities in the city, 113 homes across 18.4 acres laid out in March 2006, long after most of La Habra had finished building. It is infill on ground that had been passed over in the earlier waves.
All nine interior streets are named for plants: Iris, Petunia, Primrose, Daffodil, Dahlia, Marigold, Sunflower and Wisteria, with Poplar the one tree in the set. The city has used this trick before. Heritage Village named thirteen streets for trees in 1973, and Tapestry picked up the flowers three decades later.
