Overview
About White Oak Condos
White Oak covers 21.4 acres and holds 208 homes on eight streets, all of them on eleven ground parcels. The boundary is unusual in the city for carrying more commercial land than housing: the land use layer gives 13.7 acres to commercial against 7.7 acres of medium density residential, and the zoning layer records 8.9 acres of community commercial alongside 12.5 acres of heavy density residential. Sycamore Plaza sits inside the boundary on the city's shopping center layer.
The association runs one community pool and one spa. Irvine Ranch Water District supplies the water, street sweeping runs Monday in the small hours, and OCFA Station 19 on El Toro Road covers the addresses. Children go to La Madera Elementary, Serrano Intermediate and El Toro High.

How White Oak Condos was built
White Oak sits on ground that was part of Rancho Canada de los Alisos, the 10,668 acre grant Governor Alvarado made to Jose Antonio Serrano in 1842. Serrano ran cattle here for two decades, built five adobes, and lost everything when the drought that began in 1863 killed the herds. One adobe from about 1863 survives at Heritage Hill Historical Park nearby.
The townhomes here were built in 1982, 208 homes on 21 acres and eight streets.
