Overview
About Aliso Creek Villas
Aliso Creek Villas covers 20.6 acres on the boundary the City of Lake Forest publishes, and the city's address record holds 437 homes inside it on two streets. All 437 sit on two ground parcels, which is how the county records attached ownership, and the city's zoning layer covers 19.9 of those acres as R-Residential, with the remaining 0.6 zoned urban industrial.
The association runs three community pools, the joint third-highest count of shared pools among the fifty Lake Forest communities on this site. Water comes from El Toro Water District, street sweeping runs Wednesday afternoons, and OCFA Station 19 on El Toro Road covers the addresses here. The city's property record sends children to Olivewood Elementary, Los Alisos Intermediate and Mission Viejo High.

How Aliso Creek Villas was built
The name on the gate is older than anything built here. Aliso is Spanish for alder or sycamore, and the creek that runs down this side of the city takes its name from Rancho Canada de los Alisos, the 10,668 acre grant Governor Juan Bautista Alvarado made to Jose Antonio Serrano in 1842 and Pio Pico enlarged in 1846. The creek itself starts on Loma Ridge above what is now Portola Hills and runs almost twenty miles to the ocean at Laguna Beach, and through the middle decades of the nineteenth century the ground it crossed here carried Serrano cattle.
The homes date to 1980, 437 of them on just two streets, Orange Avenue and Whisler Drive, near the golf course at the southern end of the city. It is attached housing on shared ground, which is why the county records all of it against a pair of parcels, and the association runs three pools, the joint third highest count of shared pools of the fifty Lake Forest communities on this site.
