            How Palm Court at Laguna Heights was built

            Palm Court was built in 1986 and holds 240 addresses on eighteen acres, almost all of them attached, with the widest amenity set of any condominium community in the city on the association's own record: two pools with spas, two tennis courts, a tot lot and a par course. Sixteen streets run inside the boundary and most are islands and harbors, Key West, Glen Cove, Avalon Cove, Caribbean Court, Saint Christopher and Daytona Drive among them.

            In 1959 the Laguna Niguel Corporation bought the Daguerre share and hired the Viennese architect Victor Gruen, who had opened the country's first enclosed shopping mall three years earlier, to plan a town of 7,100 acres. AVCO Community Developers took the corporation over in 1971. Palm Court names Laguna Heights Homeowner Association as its master, alongside Crystal Cay and Niguel Pointe.
