            About Vallejo

The parcel layer counts 129 parcels, exactly one for each address and every one of them a single family residence, on lots running to a median of 0.115 acres with structures to a median of 1,555 square feet and four bedrooms.

The zoning carries 15.1 acres as R-2 while the general plan carries the same acreage as Low Density Residential, and none of the boundary falls in an elevated fire class. History

            How Vallejo was built

The city records 129 homes across twenty-one acres, built between 1970 and 1973 at a typical size around 1,555 square feet on lots of roughly a ninth of an acre. Every one of them is a detached house with no unit numbers anywhere in the boundary, which makes it a straightforward single-family pocket in a part of town otherwise thick with attached housing from the same years.

The names look north. Vallejo and Sonora are both Northern California, the city on San Pablo Bay carrying the name of General Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo, the Mexican commander at Sonoma who later sat in the first California state senate. Blossom Place, Lotus Place and Skywood Street round out the list. The city's tree inventory counts eighteen trees inside the boundary, most of them Australian willow.
